My story begins in 1993, in the small town of Katy, Texas, just a short drive from the Gulf Coast. Surrounded by anglers who lived for the rhythm of the tides and the pull of a redfish, I set out to handcraft fishing rods that matched both the passion of the fisherman and the demands of the water.
My early focus was on 7’ and 7’6” bait-casting popping rods—built for precision and strength, yet adorned with the artistry that set each piece apart. Using only top-grade components, I wove custom designs into the foregrips, shaped cork handles to fit each angler’s hand, and brought to life rods that were as personal as they were functional.
No two were ever alike—every rod told the story of its owner.
As time went on, my passion for fishing carried me further beyond the salt air of the coast. Drawn to the quiet solitude of small mountain streams, I began to shift my craft toward fly rods. This new pursuit demanded not only technical precision but a deep respect for tradition.
I turned to superior-grade graphite blanks for performance, while also embracing the time-honored artistry of bamboo. Working with Tonkin cane—split, planed, and hand-finished—I carried forward a legacy that has defined fine fly rods for more than a century.
Each rod became more than just a tool for casting a line; it became an heirloom, a bridge between the angler, the water, and the history of the sport itself.
From the salty breeze of the Gulf to the whisper of wind in mountain pines, my work has always been rooted in one belief: a fishing rod should be more than equipment—it should be a reflection of craftsmanship, individuality, and the timeless pursuit of water.
What began in 1993 as a small custom shop in Texas has grown into a lifelong dedication to building rods that honor both tradition and the unique spirit of each angler who casts them.
